To assist families, Eton offers childcare both before and after school and during Midwinter and Spring Breaks. 

Before- and After-School Clubhouse (Childcare)

Clubhouse (childcare) on a regular day does not require registration. It is available to all students and located in a designated space.

Standard Day Hours

Before-School:

8:00 a.m. to the Start of Arrival for Grades 1-8

8:00 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. for Grades P3-K

After School: End Dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Early Dismissal Hours

Before-School: Same as Above

After School: End of Dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Midwinter Break (20-23 February 2023 ) and Spring Break (8-12 April 2024)

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The use of childcare during the breaks requires pre-registration, which closes at 7:00 a.m. on the Thursday before the break. It is open and available to all students.
 

2023-2024 Childcare Rates

Before- and After-School

• $15.00 per hour per student
• $750.00 maximum per student per month (excluding breaks) 
• $3.00 per minute per student for any student remaining beyond 6:00 p.m.

Midwinter and Spring Breaks

• $15.00 per hour per student
• No maximum per student per month
• $3.00 per minute per student for any student remaining beyond 6:00 p.m.
   

Complimentary Clubhouse (childcare) for Students with Older Siblings

To assist families of multiple children across different grade levels, we provide an option for complimentary Clubhouse time depending on the student's check-in/out times as follows:

Before-School Clubhouse

Pre-elementary (P3-K) Student with a Sibling in Grades 4-8

Checked in at 8:10 a.m. or later: Complimentary from 8:10-8:40 a.m.

Checked in prior to 8:10 a.m.: Charges incur from the check-in time until 8:40 a.m.

Pre-elementary (P3-K) Student with a Sibling in Grades 1-3

Checked in at 8:20 a.m. or later: Complimentary from 8:20-8:40 a.m.

Checked in prior to 8:20 a.m.: Charges incur from the check-in time until 8:40 a.m.

Lower Elementary Student with a Sibling in Grades 4-8

Checked in at 8:10 a.m. or later: Complimentary from 8:10-8:20 a.m.

Checked in prior to 8:10 a.m.: Charges incur from the check-in time until 8:20 a.m.

After-School Clubhouse

Pre-elementary (P3-K) Student with a Sibling in Grades 4-8

Checked out no later than 3:40 p.m.: Complimentary from 3:05-3:40 p.m.

Checked out after 3:40 p.m.: Charges incur from 3:05 p.m. until checked out

Pre-elementary (P3-K) Student with a Sibling in Grades 1-3

Checked out no later than 3:15 p.m.: Complimentary from 3:05-3:15 p.m.

Checked out after 3:15 p.m.: Charges incur from 3:05 p.m. until checked out

Lower Elementary Student with a Sibling in Grades 4-8

Checked out no later than 3:40 p.m.: Complimentary from 3:25-3:40 p.m.

Checked out after 3:40 p.m.: Charges incur from 3:25 p.m. until checked out

Electronic Clock In/Out

For Clubhouse, an electronic clock is used to check students in/out and for billing. Students are checked in/out via Clubhouse staff and released only to Parents/Guardians or to an authorized person who is listed in their record. Parents/Guardians can update the list of authorized people via their Portal.

Your child will eat lunch in the classrooms between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on a regular school day. Your child's teacher will share the exact time with you when school starts in the fall.

Lunch From Home

When packing lunch for your child, the meals provided must meet the nutritional requirements as recommended by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (WAC 110-300-0190):

• A dairy product such as milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese;
• A serving of meat or a meat alternative such as beef, fish, poultry, legumes, tofu, or beans;
• A grain product such as bread, cereal, bagel, or rice cake;
• Fruits or vegetables as in 2 fruits or 2 vegetables or one fruit and 1 vegetable to equal the total portion size required;
• For a drink to qualify as a serving of fruit or vegetable, it must be one hundred percent fruit or vegetable juice;
• And a liquid to drink (water or one of the required components such as milk, fruit or vegetable juice).

Please note that milk and perishables must be in insulated containers with an ice pack. Additionally, please pack the eating utensils needed by your child to eat the meal.

Purchased Hot Lunch

The following directions are for our website portal (www.etonschool.org) used by currently enrolled families.

For inquiries, applications, or enrollment/re-enrollment documents, please click the green box (located after this section) to go to SchoolAdmin, our admission/enrollment system.

For privacy and security reasons, a portion of our website is restricted to parents/guardians of enrolled students, and login is required. For new families, login becomes available in Mid-July with notification via email.

Here are the steps to set up your account after Mid-July if you are new to our website and also for current parents who cannot remember their password:

1. Click "Portal Login" in the top right corner of any page.

2. On the login page, click "Forgot Username or Password."

3. Enter your email in the new window and click submit.

4. Check your email for a message and directions to set your password. Please check your junk/spam/clutter folder if it does not arrive within 5 minutes.

5. Follow the directions in the email to create a new password.

6. Use your newly created password along with your username (firstname.lastname) to log in. 

When you see "Welcome" and your name, you are logged in to the Parent Portal. Congratulations!
