Have fun with a marble run!

Marble Run Materials needed:

• Empty paper towel or toilet paper tubes
• Scrap paper
• Scissors
• Masking tape or blue painters tape (Make sure the tape will not peel paint off the wall.)
• A marble, small ball, or other sphere shaped objects

Procedure:

1. Cut some tubes in half.
2. Tape to a wall in a zig-zag design.
3. Release a marble at the top and watch it travel down the run.

Questions:

• Did it work?
• Should you make adjustments to your marble run?
• Which sphere is the slowest?
• Which sphere is the fastest?

Ingredients

DRY:

3 cup All-purpose flour

2 tsp Salt

WET:

1 Tbs Sugar

1 Tbs Yeast or

1 package active dry yeast

1 cup Warm Water Directions

1. In a resealable plastic bag place sugar, yeast and add warm water. Mix them up a little and leave the bag open for about 10 minutes as the yeast activates.
2. Add the Flour to the wet ingredients and reseal the bag. Start squishing it together with your hands to mix it all up. Let it sit in the bag for about an hour. You will see the bag filling up gas and the dough getting bigger.
3. Remove from bag and knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth and you can push gently on the surface and it bounces back.
4. Mold into your form or place in a greased loaf pan. Cover your loaf with plastic wrap or something that will limit the amount of extra air that passes over it.
5. You can brush top of bread with olive oil or melted butter, or spray a little non-stick spray and bake until golden, about 20-30 minutes. Remember to rotate your bread halfway through its bake time.
6. Enjoy your fresh loaf of bread while it is warm with something sweet or something savory.

Step Three: 

• Which parts of both pieces of music sound the same? 
• Do they make you feel the same or differently? 
   

Art Tableau Challenge

Step One: Explore the virtual art museums:

• Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands
• Musée d’Orsay in Paris, France
• Uffizi Gallery in Florence,  Italy
• Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands
• Louvre in Paris, France

Step Two: Pick a piece of art

Step Three: Create the tableau using stuffed animals or humans in your house. Also include at least three household items for costume/props.

Step Four: Pose in the frozen picture, with facial expressions and body language you see in the painting. TELL THE STORY.

Step Five: Take a picture and share with others!
