We developed a three-year curriculum that nurtures a love of learning and helps students grow academically, socially, and creatively. We meet each student where they are and support them by:

- Cultivating a "want to learn" mindset that fosters curiosity and nurtures intrinsic motivation
- Building-in leadership opportunities that encourage responsibility and initiative
- Integrating peer mentoring to build confidence and meanginful connection
- Developing strong teacher-student relationships that guide growth and self-advocacy
- Having robust enrichment classes woven into the core curriculum and schedule
- Supporting the exploration and interests in Robotics and STEAM

We know learners thrive when they can explore, experience, and engage with the world around them. We create spaces and experiences that nurture curiosity and real-world skills so students will:
- Bring lessons to life on academic field trips
- Explore natural habitats and play spaces designed for curious minds and active bodies
- Connect to the natural world while building team skills and independence on overnight outdoor education trips
- Engage their minds and bodies during recess on the playgrounds and in activity spaces designed for discovery
- Set sail across the Salish Seas during eighth grade, turning learning into a real-life adventure they’ll never forget

Through the Middle School Years
Following the Montessori philosophy of teachers as a guide on the side, middle-school faculty collaborate as a team that sees, supports, and celebrates middle-school students. They understand the unique challenges and opportunities of these years by:
- Staying with the same students for three years, building trust and meaningful connections
- Knowing and celebrating each student's strengths and helping them to navigate challenges
- Bringing specialized expertise and genuine passion for this age group
- Collaborating closely with a school counselor and division head
- Ensuring that every student feels seen, supported, and valued

In our Middle School, students have the chance to follow their passions, try new things, and take the lead in meaningful ways. Our dynamic program offers:
- Developmentally strong physical education program with an emphasis on teamwork, fitness, and fun
- After-school athletics and clubs: Running Club, Snow Sports Program, and Ultimate
- After-School Classes and Clubs: Sewing, 3D Design and Printing, Robotics, and Dungeons and Dragons
- Leadership opportunities that empower student initiative: Student Leadership Council, EQUALITY+ Club
- Service learning projects for community groups that the students propose, plan, set up, and carry out
