Pre-elementary: A Montessori Start That Lasts a Lifetime
Pre-Elementary (Grades P3–K) is more than just a place to begin school—it’s the foundation for how a child will see themselves as a learner, a friend, and a capable, independent person. In our Montessori Pre-Elementary program, students are supported in becoming curious, confident, and joyful explorers of the world around them.
Learning

That Looks Like Play and Develops the Whole Child
We know that purposeful movement, creativity, and unstructured play are essential to healthy development. That’s why our days are thoughtfully balanced with time for:
- Outdoor exploration and recess
- Creative expression through storytelling, music, and art
- Grace and courtesy lessons that nurture empathy and community
- Quiet focus as well as opportunities for big, joyful movement
Students in our Pre-Elementary Montessori build the skills, confidence, and curiosity that sets them on a continuing path of lifelong learning.
Environment

Built for Growth
Young students flourish in spaces where they are free to move, choose, explore, and try again. Our Montessori classrooms are calm, beautiful, and intentionally designed to spark focus and wonder. Here, everything has a purpose, and students are at the center of it all. We offer:
- Three years (age 3 through Kindergarten) with the same Montessori-certified teacher
- Mixed-grade classrooms that promote peer learning and leadership
- Hands-on materials that build foundational skills in math, language, culture, science, and practical life
- Independence-building through choices and meaningful work
- Guidance from teachers who observe and meet each child where they are
- Daily opportunities to build executive functioning skills, care for the environment, and take pride in one’s work
Progress

That Reflects the Whole Child
We don’t believe in rushing childhood or reducing growth to a single number. Instead, we:
- Observe development across academic, social, and emotional domains
- Align progress with Montessori's Planes of Development and early learning standards
- Provide rich, detailed feedback so parents/guardians understand the full picture of their child's journey
Teachers

Who See, Know, and Celebrate Your Child
Montessori teachers are more than instructors. They are guides who truly know every student. Through daily observation and deep connection, they’re able to:
- Tailor lessons to individual readiness and interest
- Support both academic and social-emotional development
- Encourage risk-taking, resilience, and self-reflection
- Foster relationships that last across these formative years and beyond
Partnership

with Families
Our program is more than childcare; it is a students first experience in school, and families are an integral part of the journey. We maintain strong, open communication with families through:
- Periodic photos of students and the classroom through SeeSaw app
- Montessori Moments where parents/guardians come into the classroom as the student and receive lessons from their child as the teacher
- Parent/Guardian conferences and Report Cards twice a year to set goals and share growth
- Volunteers in the classroom, as field trips drivers or chaperones, and more
- Welcoming community that gathers for potlucks, field trips, and other family centered school events
