Students and parents from Room 6 were able to participate in Montessori Moment recently. Montessori Moment is a chance for students to become teachers. Parents are invited into the classroom after school to learn from their children. This opportunity for students to become teachers plays an important role in their educational development.
Students in Room 6 happily taught their favorite lessons to their moms and dads. Among some of the teaching going on children were able to give lessons on Double Digit Division with the Tubes and Racks material and Multiplication with the Checkerboard and bead bars material. Parents were thrilled as their child taught them Sentence Analysis, labeling and describing Geometric Solids and the Subtraction Snake Game.
Everyone had a marvelous time!
