Symbol and Aphorism
The symbol for Eton School is a fir cone styled in a manner of the Haida Native American tribe. As a seed vessel it holds the potential for individual growth. Its many parts fulfill a plan that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. A child advances in steps to higher levels of intellect, ability and wisdom. The uniqueness of each child is affirmed in the words I am in the aphorism, "I am Becoming." One living in continual development is a human being becoming in contrast to a static "being." At Eton School, the staff and students reflect the dynamic potential for growth.
Let me do it myself.
My fingers aren't nimble
Experience is lacking
Let me discover answers
I'll think independently
Do me a favor,
Help me do it myself
