Student Accolades
Each year, Eton School recognizes outstanding student achievement in
community competitions. These competitions include a variety of
subjects such as Science, Math, Writing and Latin. Celebrating their
accomplishments is part of belonging to the Eton School community.
Although the Montessori philosophy does not encourage competition at
the young ages, students gain proficiency and confidence at different
times and in different areas. We are pleased that Eton students have
voluntarily participated in individual and group activities and
succeeded at high performance levels.
Congratulations to Eton students for outstanding results
in community competitions!

Junior Classical League Convention/National Mythology Exams
Spring 2009
Eton School participated in the Junior Classical League Convention in the spring in Seattle and had wonderful results. Fifth through eighth grade students competed against other public and independent middle and high school students in the Seattle Metropolitan area. Eton's students were presented with numerous awards, including ten-first places in Academic competitions, twelve-first places in Graphic Arts and ten-first places in Sports events. Eton School placed second in the Spirit Contest.
Eton students took the challenging National Latin Exam, joining Latin students from 50 states and several countries. Five students were awarded Certificates for Outstanding Achievement for their outstanding scores on the exam. Certificates of Merit for Achievement were presented to three other students for their high scores.
Students also earned exceptional scores on the National Mythology Exam, an exam taken by 10,000 students from the US, Canada and Australia. Three students were awarded Silver Medallions (scores in 94-99% ranges) and ten were awarded Bronze (86-92%). Two Eton students were elected as JCL officers, one as Editor and the other Secretary. The Latin program at Eton School is definitely alive and well!
